If you want to be a pilot, why would you waste your time being an FA. Get your flight training and go to college/university for another degree (good to know something else incase flying doesn't work out) and do your flight training during that time, build hours, and then go for an airline. Thats what I'm planning to do, but I don't really even know if I want to be an airline pilot, but I do want to learn to fly, just so I can. Being an FA would be a waste of time, and that program your talking about sounds like a farce. Go to actual school. Thats how most people do it. Being an FA will get you nowhere as far as being a pilot unless you just like dealing with rude people who want $1 airfares and to be given 3 course meal service on a two hour flight from JFK to MCO or the like, and press the call button each time the plane hits turbulence to tell you to tell the pilots to make it stop because it feels uncomfortable and scares the children.
And if it wasn't for the safety requirements, and the FA's were just there for "service" they probably would have already been done away with by most US airlines lol.
And don't just go for flying, learn/do other things incase that doesn't work out.
