    Re:

Yeah, it was 65 for the high here on Thursday before the arctic air moved in lol. Yesterday, although OKC was open, all virtually all flights had been cancelled. A WN jet had to make several rounds of getting de-iced, goig out for takeoff, coming back for another de-icing, heading out again, coming back... you get the picture. Needless to say, it never made it off the ground lol. Round two comes today for us, more freezing rain, although seems it will be lighter than yesterday's sleet/frz rain mix. Round three will come tonight ad last most of the day tomorrow, topping off with about 2 inches of snow. And looks like we'll be stuck with this stuff on the ground with all the single-digit lows next week.

        Re:

After a brief lull yesterday, roud two of precip being pretty light (excepting SE OK-they got pummeled), round three began just about an hr ago. Thunderstorms (yep, thunderstorms) dumping heavy amounts of freezing rain, sleet, hail and even some snowflakes mixed in up north in Oklahoma City all the way back down to Lawton. Here, there's a fine mist/fog crap falling and it's coating any and all exposed surfaces. SE OK had heavy freezing rain w/ thunder most of the day yesterday, 170,000+ w/o power now in OK, AR and MO. And guess what, it's not over yet. The upper low will swing out through the southern/central plains later today.

Our anemometer (thing that senses wind) is broken. The other day it was reporting 050@3, but in reality it was 250@12

Partly cloudy and 64F in the Peach State right now with an expected high of 70F. A nice breeze is out as well, perfect for frisbee. Expect the same tomorrow, ladies and gent- that's right, spring has come early.

            What's that? You're shovelling snow?

Down to high 45F tomorrow. Kirk Mellish said ATL won't see 70F for a month.

Surprise snow storm at Dallas this morning! Went to bed with a forecast of "a chance of flurries, but nothing sticking." Woke up to see roof and ground covered with sleet/snow, icy roads, schools cancelled. Took me about twice as long to drive in to work. DAL has 8 planes lined up to be de-iced. AUS has run out of de-icing fluid!

                        Re:

^Yeah, most schools here are still canceled because of the ice skating rinks that are sidewalks and parking lots. Had the sun come out, that would've all melted by now and I wouldn't have slipped and fallen and broken my glasses (now I'll have to get a new pair). Not to mention the exquisite pain in my right upper arm every time I make a movement. And now a heap of snow is expected this weekend. Joy.

I would change places asap if you prefer hurricane-strenght winds instead .

High 37F in Atlanta today. Light rain/freezing rain as well. Damn it, on Monday I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, today I need to find my winter coat.
