The ultimate shooting opportunity airplane to airplane would be from a B-17 bomber in my opinion Those windows are large as heck everywhere on the bird.. if you're crazy and short you can also take the gunnery pod underneath and PRAY they don't have to make a wheels up

If anyone wants to see my inflight video of a B-17 click on airshutter.com.. unfortunately no other plane flying in formation though.. but a previous flight had an Avenger fly next to her.. was quite a sight even from the ground.

Really? I guess all the guys shooting here just turned down their opportunity to fly backseat in a Tomcat or Phantom...

Again your point alludes me. You don't appear to be necessarily disagreeing with me, and you're not making any point other than you think he's a unique photographer which you made in your first post.

By the way, I don't think his opportunities are unique at all, they're difficult but not impossible. You also fail to acknowledge that he isn't a plain old "Mr", he's the editor/photographer of an aviation magazine and EVERY PERSON in that position has the same opportunities he has, they simply choose not to upload to these types of sites for some reason and THAT is the bigger loss (but we can always buy their magazines).

    Added as an afterthought
By the way, from memory, the last (or one of the last) fatal FA-18 accidents in Australia killed a Mr. The Defence Forces in many countries have a public relations budget that allows for a certain number of what they'd call "jollies" which at times involves Mrs or Mr's.

As for the paycheque, i've spent a few of them

That about sums it up Clovis.

Opportunities like he had are not common. Granted those helo shots maybe somewhat easier to get, as they are not military. But I can tell you this from personal experience... very very FEW people that are addressed as Mr. or Mrs. get to fly around in the back seat of U.S. Military tactical jets taking pictures.

I don't care WHAT you say, I have been there, done that, get the check every month.

    I see.

Whilst I respect your opinion I certainly disagree. He is clearly an excellent avaition photographer, but the difference between him and many we see here at j.net is simply opportunity.

and that's before we start talking about the likes of Craig Justo and other photographers who are every bit as good as Air2Air is. He is in a small crowd, but he's far from unique and I do NOT say that in any insulting way, I have the utmost respect for his skill as a photographer as I do every other photographer who pumps out similar quality work.

    Your choice.......take your pick.

I just don't think anyone's photos are as unique as his were.

so if he jumped off a bridge would you do the same?

    You talking about Glenn?
Glenn? he takes horrible pictures ... I'm talking about my PHAT PHOTOs

Really? I have not seen any....
If only you had related that back to a particular comment .. then we may be able to figure out what you're actually saying.

How can these people justify in their minds calling someone rude and arrogant when they are exactly the same themselves?

    He started it.

There are plenty of pics coming online that are as good as his shots IMO....

    You talking about Glenn? :P

I stayed away from this discussion for a few reasons but the one thing that sticks out more than anything is the attitude of some who responded to him. How can these people justify in their minds calling someone rude and arrogant when they are exactly the same themselves?

    Pft.

Apart from that I have no comment, if jetphotos.net doesn't suit him well I think that's his loss rather than ours. There are plenty of pics coming online that are as good as his shots IMO.... lets enjoy those and if we want to see Nevilles pics, we can always buy his magazine (or not as the case may be ).
