  • New threat

Just watched the network headlines right now. They're talking about a new threat of 9/11 style attacks.

Will this affect your spotting hobby? I don't know abt you, but I'm going to be as low-profile as I can be, and I'm gonna ask the authorities if I can take photos. If an official says no, I won't even argue, I won't take photos.

I'm on a tight schedule, and it's not worth missing a flight.

What abt all the rest of you? What do you think?

      Re:

It's easier for you guys in Europe, where you can still take photos from the ramp. Atleast I saw one (the DL 76 photo from the ramp).

Over here, it's more tricky. If you just tell them you're spotting, they're still just as liable to check your record.

      Anyway...

      Happy Flying!

Its possible, but I'm not too worried. I think they are planning something, though, time is on their side.
Fly Raleigh-Durham International, with direct flights on Air Canada, AirTran, American Airlines, American Eagle, America West, Continental Airlines, Continental Express, Delta Airlines, Delta Connection, jetBlue, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Express and US Airways to:

ATL, AUS, BWI, BOS, CHS, CLT, MDW, ORD, CVG, CLE, DFW, DTW, FLL, BDL, HOU, IND, LAS, LAX, LGW, MEM, MIA, MSP, BNA, EWR, MSY, JFK, LGA, ORF, MCO, PHL, PHX, PIT, STL, SLC, TPA, YYZ, DCA and IAD.

Personally, I don't really worry. They'll always think of something, and if they do plan something else, it will just mean more repercussions somewhere else in the world.
