    Very strong storms caused lots of damage, I had a very close call today...take a look at these spotter reports-

    NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BUFFALO NY
    811 PM EDT SUN AUG 3 2003

    ...THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND
    SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT SUNDAY
    EVENING FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

    LEWIS AND JEFFERSON

    AT 810 PM EDT WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A LINE
    OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN EXTENDING ACROSS MOST
    OF JEFFERSON AND NORTHERN LEWIS COUNTIES. THIS LINE WAS LIFTING
    NORTH AT 25 MPH AND WILL REACH THE THOUSAND ISLANDS AND HARRISVILLE
    BY 830 PM. ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN WILL FALL IN THIS AREA IN LESS
    THAN ONE HOURS TIME.

    ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER THE TUG HILL IN LEWIS
    COUNTY AND THESE WILL ALSO LIFT NORTH...PERHAPS DROPPING ANOTHER
    INCH.

    THE ACTIVITY SHOULD WEAKEN AND TAPER OFF AS IT LIFTS NORTHWARD INTO
    ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY BY 10 PM.

    DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
    ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
    SAFELY.

    Hot, hot, hot!! I live in central Germany and (including today) this year we've had a total of 18 days where the temperature has been above 30 degrees Celcius (86deg.F) and a total of 26 days where the Temperature has been above 29 degrees Celcius!

    Today we're supposed to reach a high of 37 degrees, and the four-day forecast:

    Monday: 38 °C
    Tuesday: 37°C
    Wednesday:38°C
    Thursday:37°C
    Friday:35°C
    Saturday:34°C

    And to top it all off, I have the flu!!
