...marijuana is not bad for your body/health. I've read on wikipedia that it is non toxic and does not cause any harm/damage to your body, other than some psycho stuff....in other word other that making you high. Anyway I've found out that smoking weed is not as bad as cigarettes and that nobody has yet died of it. is it true ? So does that mean that smoking marijuana is ok and will not kill you ? I mean I tried both and tbh weed is way less "painfull" than cigaretes...jsut wanted to make sure that wikipedia is right.

Shouldn't you ask this in a health forum? I doubt you'll get many good answers here.Tanner Johnson - Owner

Smoking anything is not good for you. But smoking a joint rather than a cancer stick is better for you any day.. I read somewhere that it would take roughly 900 joints for someone to overdose on pot and keel over and die. I mean they use pot for medicinal purposes, do they use tobacco? No sir.

There are many and varied studies an opinions on this subject, but unlike tobacco, marijuana is mind altering, and in some people alarming.
There has been studies that found marijuana users were more prone to respiratory illnesses.............now that must tell you something.
The mind altering, even in small time users can lead to memory and or learning problems.
Also increased heart rate (quite a lot when using ) can cause obvious problems.
There are also studies that suggest it's effect on testosterone and male reproduction.
Society is probably stuck with it now and like most things in moderation (alcohol, even Hungrys) will cause no problems....we all have to die.
Knowing the effects it gives you individually and your ability to cope would be a help.
You young blokes may have a go...and decide. Me....I would not be putting my brain or balls at risk
And a bit of further reading:http://www.nida.nih.gov/Infofacts/marijuana.html
Marijuana abuse also has the potential to promote cancer of the lungs and other parts of the respiratory tract because it contains irritants and carcinogens9,11. In fact, marijuana smoke contains 50 to 70 percent more carcinogenic hydrocarbons than does tobacco smoke

Btw, wasn't there a case in the US a few years ago where some medical organisation to legalize MJ for terminally-ill people to numb down their pain, and the Supreme Court struck that down citing the risk of becoming addicted?

I'm hesitant of trusting things off of Wikipedia... but you are going to hear two stories. From some you will hear that it is not bad for you. Better than cigarettes/drinking/etc. Also, it is a social way to enjoy yourself with friends. Others will tell you that either way its a drug, a gateway drug at that, and is more harmful than cigarettes because the smoke is unfiltered.
Just depends on who you prefer to listen toUNITED-You're not just flying, you're flying the friendly skies.
