Yeah, over at USAir the pilots and the mechanics were pretty chummy, a lot of airlines they're not. Now the mechanics and the flight attendants...that was a whole 'nother story! They hated each other for some reason, but the corporate culture is changing fast. Old rivalries are being swept away, the labor groups might actually be able to *gasp* stick together! Well with the exception of USAir East and USAir West pilots anyhow...

Tell me about it. More often than not I actually meet in person someone I think I can actually discuss flying and such with, they turn out to be...well...an asshole. For some reason or another, many of them turn out very racist as well. No clue where that comes from. Luckily thus far at Diamond Aviation, I haven't encountered such a person.

also very good advice. Make sure you are well rounded and can talk about something other than flying.

Not really sure yet. I'm into different things. I'm working on a PPL now (still have a long way to go) but I find I really do like general aviation. So I suppose if I wanted to be I pilot I might go for corporate aviation. But I also like photography and computers. I currently have a photography job and have a chance to get another on in PC repair.

In the end I'm really not sure. For now I planning on trying different things that seem interesting and see where they lead.

I find that whenever I plan things out they generally don't turn out as I expect or I get side tracked or whatever so I've decided that I'm gonna keep trying to work at things that within my interests and see where it leads.

In other words... I'm pretty much confused with no real direction in life

In the end however, I hope to find something where I'm happy to get up and go to work everyday instead of dreading going to work.

Wanted to a pilot...then I realized I would prolly get frustrated, so now I switched my focus to politics. Hopefully I can run for something when I graduate in 2 years. Or if I don't maybe go for a MA or PhD.

I would like to do something in the military. I'm heading to Syracuse University this fall and will be doing Army ROTC there, so hopefully that will lead to an exciting career.
