  • What not to do when you just got your driver's license

This is an article from a German newspaper, unfortunately haven't yet found an article online, but it's too funny to not be posted:
A driving newbie really put the pedal to the metal in Heiligenhaus (Northrhine-Westphalia). Within just 20 minutes he collected no less than 8 points on his traffic offense register. First the 18-year old passed a police car with 102 km/h instead of the allowed 50, and on his back drove into the speed trap again, this time also with a cell phone on his ear. Once police stopped, their attention was quickly caught by some illegal mods on the car as well as multiple defects. He had to pay a €300 fine and his license was suspended for three months. And the best part: He only had his license for less than a month.
That's quite an achievement there, right .

LOL my girl got her license (G2) around 4 montsh ago. So the first thing she does she borrows her borther's Camaro and takes it for a spin. Not her first time driving solo though (we drive solo with G1 too LOL). She does 95km/h on Cawthra where the limit is 50. She gets stopped by a cop. Lucky for her the cop only gave her a warning "becasue she just got her license"...I bet if she was a guy she would probably get fined...

First day I had my license I got stopped by cops with Machine guns... my car "looked" similar to one used for a bank attack... lol
Remember it's Switzerland... cops with machine guns is not something you see very often... f*** I was scared as hell... pfffff

Yeah maybe if you were a blong, young girl with a nice smile It so unfair how females are often treated better than males when stopped by police :/

I have never gotten a speeding ticket. Of course I know all the cops in town, and I can recognize all their cars I also know when they are out and where they patrol.
You've got to try to find what's right before your eyes-Finger Eleven

Really? That's not even that bad. I thought there was something where unless it was 10mph over they wouldn't even bother as it isn't really speeding.

On normal roads perhaps, but definitely not in school zones. If the US coppers are anything like the German ones, speeding in a school zone is a sin.

It is. Although people do it anyway.

Yeah it is in a pretty uptight neighborhood. It had it's own police station, there was always 2 or 3 cops patrolling the area. Speed limit of 25 everywhere in there. I am sorry but I am not going to go 25 at 3 am. Little Sally and little Joey are not out in their front yard playing kick ball.. Here in TX i think they give you 5mph of leeway, I don't know about 10.. Problem solved with Passport Escort 7500..

That's what I like about Texas' straight flat highways! Your radar detector can catch a cop from a long way out. I've been saved by mine dozens of times. No speeding tickets in 11 years.

LOL the good old radar detectors !! Me and my friends also found a solution for traffic lights. You gotta spray your licnese plates with colorless paint but a lot of paint. In a sunny day, the sun will reflect from it not allowing the camera on traffic lights to take a clear pic of your plates when you run a yellow light. Works only with white plates though
