At least those folks put on their signal to begin with.
I'm normally not a fast driver, as I rather to keep fuel consumption to a minimum, but every once in a while I want to take advantage of the Autobahn, and whenever I do, it is almost a surefire guarantee that some idiot on a straight road will pull to the left lane without any signal to over a 100-kph car while doing 105kph himself while I'm closing in fast with 180kph and have to brake the hell out of my car. Can't count the times I wanted to just pull over those idiots and beat the hell out of them.

Then of course, there are the folks that start speeding once you try to overtake them, or those that re-overtake you and immediately go down to slow speed that caused you to overtake them to begin with. Both cases speak of the typical "Small penis" problem, in that there thinking is to the degree of "If that guy overtakes me, he challenges my manliness" or some f'd up thinking like that.

But best of all are still the "Elefantenrennen" (elephant races), when one truck tries to overtake another with a 2-kph difference, especially uphill. In a situation like you might as well just aim for the next best rest or parking area and wait 5 minutes.

Seems to me that, wherever you are, driving has become so bad that even newly qualified drivers ignore the basics.

Tailgating, speeding, cutting in, jumping lights - you name it, it's ok these days! Well it is if you are the person doing it. To be honest i don't know how many people actually get a licence these days.

Which is why the filth use unmarked cars and are getting sneaky. Drive like a prat and expect to get nicked, sounds right to me.

Well, if you see the placard you don't have to tailgate to read the words exactly, you just know what it is because none of the others have that. Another giveaway is large antennas not present on normal cars, and you can see the lights in the back too.

I don't tailgate or do anything unsafe like cut people off, talk on the phone, etc. I do go fast however if it's clear, but if there's traffic I wouldn't get someones ass, I just pass them when I can if I want to go faster. What I hate is people who put on their signal believe just doing so makes it ok for them to cut you off to get into your lane even if you are about to pass them, or they don't have much space between you and their car.

Ugh I hate when people pull right up on my ass at a stop light. It got really annoying when I was learning to drive stick shift in our truck. I hadn't gotten used to how to get it started without rolling backwards on hills. So I just always gunned it when somebody was behind me. One of these days I'm gonna have had enough and just let the damn thing roll backwards. That's what they'd get for pulling up too close.

For a younger member who is going to get his license soon, thanks for this threads, gives me the idea of what NOT to do.

    Ahh..the joy of tailgating people
Reminds me how once I was tailgating a guy going 50 on a residential where limit is 40. He stops on the stop sign, leaves the car and yells to me that the limit is 40 plus some other swore words. LOL I was lucky he didnt have a baseball at or something :P

Another thing that's annoying is the new LED lights, as you can't see the marked cars from as far.

exactly. and those pigs in the casual rides piss me off too.. Especially when it is just a normal person driving a black car like that with tinted windows.. Really scares the crap out of me and slam on the brakes or quit doing whatever I am doing that is wrong and the car pulls up and it is some 98 year old grandmother

Yeap they got the chargers around 3 months ago. I've also heard that they might be using the 300C...:/
    There's an 'official version":

And a spy car looking like a casual ride...:

    Dodge Charger is a possibility.

A few years ago when I was in the army I had just picked up my sister and was on our way home. Suddenly this red flash came from a parked van.

A few weeks later I received a letter from the police with a ticket on 500 DKR. But (the best part) since I was doing military service and just finished my trainee period, I had a low income. So I managed getting the ticket down to 300 DKR instead. My "sin" was, that I was doing abound 56-60 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.

And good part was my parent called me a speed devil, but within a year they both got a ticket of 1000 DKR. for speeding, so whos the speed devils now

The other thing you have to worry about is lidar, it's also known as lazer. That's the new thing and when popo departments replace their radars they might get lidar. The was to deal with lidar is having a jamming system.

I was going to get a radar detector until I learned they were pretty much useless against lidar systems, even the ones that say they detect it.
