    This is actually true.

    Once on an Indian airlines flight quite a few years ago, the bathroom door fell out, so the plane returned for an emergency landing, and they fixed the door temporarily (for that flight) with duct tape!

          The actual type of tape is called Duct Tape. For it is used to repair duct work. Air Conditioning ducts for example. Duck Tape is a brand of duct tape.
