Like with child abuse animal abuse hit's a raw nerve with most people, because they are helpless to the environment they find themselves in. I am happy to admit if a soldier dies say in the Iraq war I struggle to find compassion because they voluntary put themselves into that environment of danger but if I hear a case of child/animal abuse my blood boils.

Not to mention the fact that Hamas is not involved with the war in Iraq anyhow...

Originally posted by Star AllianceAre you serious? I mean, I can kinda understand the child abuse, but are you really saying that you value the life of an animal more than that of a soldier?
If I got killed in a base jumping accident I wouldent expect much sympathy because it was my decision to base jump knowing all to well there were risks involved. Unless I knew a soldier personally who got killed I don't have a lot of sympathy for them.

I'm not a big fan of PETA and some of their practices, but their reasoning against torturing animals is sound.

"Well Israeli civilians on the bus going to work can't really defend themselves against a suicide bomber.."
Nobody nowhere can defend themselves against a suicide bomber.
