  • No More Small Coffee

For those people who know Tim Horton's coffee shops the Company has decided to eliminate the "small" size coffee in Canada. Peterborough (where I live) is one of the two test sites.

A small is 8m oz, the medium to 10 oz and is only 10c more. Timmies says if they can convince people in Peterborough to not buy "small", they can convince anyone. At Tim's stores in the U.S. they never had the small size.

Who ever buys a small coffee anyway?

Thank you for that riveting piece of information!

It's just one of those amazing things that makes your day interesting.

I did a little research and found that "seniors" tend to purchase a small coffee and come back for refills. Never thought of that. This is common practice in the States!

Where's the line in the United States where you start seeing Tim Horton's? I think I've seen one Tim Horton's in my entire life. Up near Detroit I think it was.

The American ones are primarily in Michigan, Penns and New York. I thought they were down I75 since that's the route Canadians from Ontario head to Florida.

Wendy's bought them from the Canadian owner but I think the Wendy's shareholders demanded it get spun off since it makes more money than Wendy's.

I often buy a small hot chocolate when Im driving to school, because i will not have time to finish anything larger before the calss starts. But whnver I am not in a hurry I usually get medium. I don't drink coffee though so hopefully they will keep small sizes for choco.

Well all the hot drinks use the same cups, so by the looks of this, they are eliminating the small cups, so no small choco for you soon.

Speaking of Timmy's, I don't know if anyone in Canada noticed these new MasterCard paypass readers installed in the past month or so. I have to say of all the locations I visited, none of the employees know how to use it. Some don't even know what I'm talking about when I said I want to pay with the paypass. Managers are lazy, what's new

There's a Mastercard reader at the Timmie's by work. Well there was as the employees have sort of "hidden" it. I've never seen anyone try to use it.

My neighbour owns 3 Tim's. I'll ask Greg about it. I think the employees have enough trouble trying to keep up with all the new items they keep adding to the menu.

I don't like coffee. It smells good. But it tastes like the hole of ass.

We will not ask how you came up with that description. Actually if you have to clean up old spilt coffee or clean coffee pots you would never drink the stuff.

                            Speaking from experience, I'm sure

Yeah, I haven't seen anyone pay by credit other than myself. Don't worry, I'll always insist on Paypass at every location I visit.
