There is a way to do it on Mac and Linux, but I am not sure how. Bootcamp maybe?

Couldn't have said it better buddy. That being said, who wants a discounted copy of FSX?

Yeah id reccomend going up to 1 gb of ram. But you should be able to pull decent FPS.

1.45 gHz AMD Athlon XP-M, 704MB RAM, video card...couldn't figure out what the video specs were when I was installing haha. But it obviously isn't enough video memory. It's just a laptop, not the best thing for these things, but I was itching to try it.

I saw FS2004 for really cheap, I think I'll get it as a stop gap until I get a better system.

Well, I'm coming from FS2002. But yeah, there's a SDK on disc one I've been meaning to check out. Personally, though, I've never designed aircraft or scenery. Just never learned. The multicrew cockpit feature (on the multiplayer) is what I really was looking forward to with FSX. The scenery is pretty nice, but I had to crank it waaay down to make it work with this system, and even then it's still pretty choppy. But I'm upgrading my system soon anyhow.
