    Lukely, the EU is flexible and open to different cultures. And Turkisch mentality is changing rapidly: I know a lot of young Turkish erasmus students who are thinking the same way western europeans do.
    And between you and me (dont argue this with any Turk or Greek ), Western Turkey and Greece are not very different, and Greece fits in just fine...
    But most important, those students are not in power at the moment. And the current government is not as European thinking as the students are.

    Yes
    I am hoping but it is looking grim. The biggest problem is the Cyprus issue, any ideas how to solve it?
    Change leadership/governement/dictator in the northern part would be a start.

    Do you think Turkey will be accepted in to the EU? I am hoping but it is looking grim. The biggest problem is the Cyprus issue, any ideas how to solve it?

    On other notes, i will be at Giants Stadium Aug 20 for the Mexico-Spain game. Also i have tickets to all 4 group games in Philly for the Women's World Cup. anyone going to any of these games? also i got a brand new Barcelona jersey and i ordered the new yellow Inter away jerseys with Emre and #5, my fav. player. Galatasaray plays CSKA Sofia on Aug 13 and some other date, GO GALATASARAY!!! FORZA INTER!!! Aug 20, Turkey vs Moldova, then Sept. 9, Turkey vs Republic of Ireland, go Turkey!!
