What year is the new Jetta ?
Yes I drive daily from Peterborough to YYZ. It's 141 km each way door to door. Well my "new" diesel Jetta" was purchased in Sept 2002. I drive back and forth if I have more than 12 hours between shifts. Otherwise I stay at my brother-in-laws.

HEY! My parent's V70 has about 80,000 on it. That's MILES for all you Metric freaks.

My own car ('96 Vauxhall Vectra 1.6 16v) has 84,000 miles which is low for the year. Passes its MOT test every year, puts out zero CO emissions and runs sweet as a nut all day turning in between 36 (sub-urban) and 44 (mostly motorway) mpg....and I don't drive slowly on motorways !

HOWEVER !!....all is not so well with the early 2003 Mercedes ambulance at work. It has 362,000 miles on it and is still on front line work.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !
