Your best bet would be SkyTeam at SXM. Fly CO or DL to SXM than AF or KL over to AMS or CDG. If you wanted to go *A you could take AC up to YYZ, but that is only seasonal service.

Specific info from Oneworld (6 continent Itineraries from 6000):

Star Alliance and OneWorld both offer RTW fares you can book directly with the airlines. Take a look at the various forums at www.flyertalk.com where you can find various bits of info on the various products and tips from other users.

Just be careful to not get ripped off or get something you weren't expecting with some of those companies. I would find reviews about companies before booking anything. If you do it on your own, you know what your getting, with companies that promise to take care of everything for you, your ass is pretty much up for grabs. There are deffinetly good tour operators out there, but there are also a decent amount of scammers. Your probably better off asking around travel forums where people know more about that stuff.

I have a wish to one day do a round the world trip as well.

Sam, this one is a Sanfrancisco based company that deals with trips.

I googled it, and the first site that dealt with this was Airtreks.
    Read about it. http://www.airtreks.com/tripplanner/index.html

You can plan your route here.

    Round The World Trips

    Hello all,

Anybody know the best way around this? Is it good to find a company who specialises in them or is it better to book one-way tickets everywhere with careful planning? - Any help would be appreciated.
