  • And it's done - Raikkonen is the World's F1 champion !!!

Just finished watching the GP of Brasil today. Gotta say it was really exciting. And I'm really happy that Lewis Hamilton didn't win. He made tons of mistakes today, which led Kimi Raikkonen to the first place Robert Kubica who I was for, raced well and finished on he fifth place. L. Hamilton after driving off the track finished as number 7. The second place took Felipe Massa who was also driving really well and was only 1.4 seconds behind his team mate Raikkonen. Third place went to Fernando Alonso. Imo the best drivers took all three places today. I was actually hoping for Massa to win but as long as it's not Hamilton I'm happy
In General classification Raikkonen took the first place. L. Hamilton was only 1 point behind ex equo with Fernando Alonso.
And again it only prooves that Ferrari is the F1's best team

Some picos from today's race in Brasil:

Has anybody else watched it ?

Hell yeah I watched it, awesome race. So fvcking close, and damn good to see Kimi pull off the win. Followed by the most "emotions" I have ever seen out of him in his career .

Sometimes you have that feeling that someone isn't going to pull something off. It's a shame that it wasn't Lewis' day, but to end up in 18th after his engine cut out and to come home in 7th, shows that he is one skilled driver and wont be someone to mess with in the future.

This sport needs someone to shake things up and Lewis is the man to do that. Bring on next year!

Thoughts also with the Williams pit crew guys who got mown down by a rookie driver. Seems they weren't too badly hurt though.

It's Sakon Yamamoto from team Spyker (Orange on top) and Giancarlo Fisichella from team Renault (on the bottom)

Well done to Kimi!!! Fantastic race, fantastic season... roll on F1 08!
In a way I'm glad Hamilton didn't win... to win in your first season could spark a sense of arrogance and over confidence...

Next season brings many prospects, the lack of ETC will help to show the better drivers, if Jenson is still racing Im sure he will be further up the field.

So Williams are under investigation for fuel irregularities....be interesting to see the outcome of that!

I myself am a F-1 Ferrari fan but with all of the BS that went on this year with the McLaren ban from the constructors championship and all of Alonso's whining about how unfair the team was to him i am glad to see this tarnished season over and done with.

As for Hamilton??? Well all i can say is he did a lot more in his first year of F-1 than Michael Schumacher did so he deserves a huge toast for that feat.

if you don't believe F1 is rigged then now is good a time as any to start questioning...gave up on it years ago, its a sham!

I myself am glad to see the likes of Hamilton come onto the way that he has. I myself have never cared for Alonso nor Kimi. I honestly thought that in my life time would ever see a driver challenge the records that Michael Schumacher produced.... But there is a possibility that Hamilton might just be able to blow those records into the weeds.

What i dont care for is all of the BS off track drama that has played out this year. All of this crap just makes this season even more tarnished. Who ever does end up being the champion for 2007 needs a huge asterisk next to there name listing all of the protest and penalties along the way that got them there.

Whatever happens here, that's probably the worst way one can win a championship. It's going to need three big bold asterisks beside the name...

Very true, it's kinda disappointing. I mean, you had the closest championship finish in many years (wasn't the last trifecta in 1987 or so, Senna/Prost/Mansell?), and all that is being overshadowed by all the side BS. And if McLaren were to win their protest against the FIA (McLaren accusing others of wrongdoings? Pot.Kettle.Black) and Hamilton gets the Driver's Championship after all, it will worth about as much as the Constructor's Championship for Ferrari, read: nothing.
