You scared me Chasen! Should have learned by now though...

Anyways congrats Jordan! Have a beer!

Just found the pic and thought I might as well use it for something! Just remember to take small gulps, and don't fly drunk!

I've been fearing airspace since he solo'ed. And I would have paid to see what he looked like in a shirt and tie shaking in his pants he was so nervous

Thanks guys. It seemed like a pretty short checkride, but it must have seemed like it went by pretty fast. It went well considering how bumpy it was. He asked for slow flight at 40 knots and I held that and did a 180. When I turned into the wind our groundspeed was a blistering 22 knots! It looked like we were hovering. Went through all the standard manuevers, no ground reference though, then did some "hood work" (kinda funny ) and navigated back to LOU with the BQM VOR. Did all the various types of landings on runway 14. The winds were out of the south at 15. On the last landing he had me land on 24. I was thinking "oh dammit here goes the checkride" but I got it down nicely and taxied back to the hangar. It was almost dark but once I shut down he told me that I was a pilot and shook my hand. He said he'd let his family fly with me which was cool to hear.

What are you flying that you can hold 40?

Congrats! Yeah, it was a lot easier then I expected it to be too. I bet it feels good.

Interesting...I thought it stalls out at around 48

How much was he willing to pay to finish them off?

Can't wait to get mine in late April.

Bottom of the white arc is like 33 if I am not mistaken. So with full flaps it will not stall until below 33. You're thinking the "clean" stall speed.

Maybe I'm thinking of the SP vs. the R
