Please don't go off topic. We were talking about the remarkable Oxford-specific currency arbitrage opportunity after the substantial devaluation of the dollar in other world markets.

Look, just because INH shafted me more than three times that doesn't mean she's my enemy....

Do you accept South African Rand, INH? Pretty lousy currency but it has hold up against Sterling for the past few years.

A pitty, they do make a nice wallpaper, though.

Amex Platinum, how does that sound?

Half true: I mentioned wayback machine before. As nobody jumped on it, here a link, many front pages there (incl links ans ads), up to JUL 2007 (not mil av, only to MAR 2007).

I can only do so much: I wish what I could do would show the great amount of appreciation I have for what I've learned from the AD.com folks.

And, I'm not bashing JP's forum: I'm sure it is a nice place to learn as well...
Concur, count me in with $100.

Actually, thats the first thing I PMmed Chris in the morning (here) after the failure, havent yet heard back.

As for file recovery - yeah, I'd be very very surprised if it wasn't possible. I once had a bit of a hard drive disater and then managed to wipe my back-up drive whilst trying to restore the system *ahem*, but a professional still managed to get all but the largest files (which consisted of too many fragments) back.
