  • Interesting story, Sparky. Mine just took a strange turn last week. Three very young (20ish) musicians just started a Beatles tribute group, just for fun, and were looking for a bass player. I played with them for the first time last Sunday, and they're really good, mastering a list of about 30 songs already with only only two months of practice (from scratch). I'll go again next Sunday...

I've been playing bass since 1970, but I play just for fun now...

      Cool!

I answered an ad looking for a drummer recently, and I am to meet the guy putting his project together Saturday, and possibly play at his place Sunday.
Initially, he told me the ad was supposed to say "No Pro's", so I explained that was a looong time ago, in a galaxy....

He is looking at some Beatles stuff too, and the guys he is already working with initialy told him they weren't into the Beatles.

So, after he had them playing a bunch of Beatles songs without realizing it, they decided the Beatles are cool!

I have played drums since 1970 also, joined the union in 74 or 75, can't remember that far back all that clearly...

I haven't playyed professionally since the early `90s.

Just out looking for some fun now, but will see!

      Sparky
