When I joined JP.net--the amount of class here went from negative to positive.

Classing things up is what I like to do. That's why I got my mail order iron on wings to wear on my old cadet flightsuit after I got my PPL when I flew in the civilian misfiring 152. But, everyone never could of understood that.

For some reason I think the JP.netters here would appreciate the mail order iron wings for the accomplishment they signified and my right to wear them----unlike the peeps at ADC. From the looks of things I think I'll fit in nicely here. Wish I would of come sooner. It would be nice if AD.com folks would take a vacation for a bit.

The only time when I needed some kind of "special undergarment" was when the Concorde came in to OPO to make practice touch-and-goes... and our home is some 6 miles out of the airport just under the glide-path... didn't have time to grab the camera... grabbed the boy, started the car and away we went to the airport...

to anyone else, does the phrase/activity "Plane Spotting" bring visions of requiring additional undergarments?


Could the community of spotters come up with a better descriptor? Just a thought...

Okay:

"Hey mom, I'm going plane spotting!"

"Okay dear, take along some extra underwear!"

"MOMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! I told you, I'm just going to watch the planes come in!"

Better:

"Hey mom, I'm going to go watch the planes come in."

"Okay, dear--have fun!"
