.....well....I'm in Kakadu/Jabiru which is in the N.T. ......Emerald is about 600 klms inland from Townsville.......so I would have to say about 3000klms away as the crow flies..

I'll be in Kakadu in March. We have heard about Emerald on ABC News. In Canada we listen to ABC from Melbourne at 5 am.
