That is a kookaburra.

I see, thanks for that . Here in Germany that bird is known as Jägerliest ("Hunter reads"), kookaburra sure sounds better than that.

I'm no expert on birds (thankyou thankyou, i'm here all week, try the veal) but I think it's part of the Kingfisher family.
There's a little song from down here about the Kookaburra which as kids, we felt it out duty to bastardise the lyrics to make it funnier
