I can assure you that is how it is in the UK now. Some poor guy got a slap because he wouldn't hand over the keys to his Vauxhall VXR!!! A VAUXHALL!!!

The law in this country is weighed too much in the favor of the little thieving f**kers. Do anything to defend yourself, you will be up in court.

Dont know what it is about he IL6B's, but the one in my Jeep has 256k on it and my Dodge Cummins has 170k, both without any issues so far....knock on wood.

Fcukwits that park by touch are my favourites - 3 sets of rego plate covers/protectors in 3 years now.
Thankfully, that has been all though.

I know the IL config is inherently smoother & better balanced than a V config - maybe that aids in providing a longer life, all other things being equal?

It's a horn piece of engineering in any case.
I will cherish my upcoming tt 3.0 six for (hopefully) many years to come
