Well, I suppose it depends on the era, because both companies have come out with some real turds in their history. For example, I give you the unspeakable Audi 5000. On the other hand, the early Mustangs were just Falcons/Comets with different bodywork. We won't even talk about the Mustang II. Aieee.....!!

My very first car was a '63 Comet, and I used to get beat by bicyclists going up hills. The Mustang was introduced in '64 and it was made from the exact same parts as my Comet.
