It will be until I am senior enough to hold a normal schedule. Right now I'm 20 people away from holding a normal schedule, but that will go to crap when people start coming over to the CR7 when we start losing the ATRs this summer. So long story short....indefinitely.

If you're drinking while you're on call, you should be canned. Unless its an obvious screw up. But that's not to say that if I don't have anything better to do that I don't often have a beer ready to go as soon as I'm no longer on call.

Whats pay like on reserve compared to actually flying?

I'm assuming you get an allowance even if you dont fly while on reserve?

Hey, it could worse. After all, you could also be on reserve with Mesa .

We get the "I've been drinking" response generally on summer weekends and as it gets later into the evening. I've heard of people being disciplined, but not dismissed. Since Management pilots are in the Union you never expect much to get done.

Well, I fully intended on taking pictures today while I was at work. But between the captain not getting to the plane until 15 mins before departure, and storms all over the east coast, I was kinda busy....as you can see

"Acey 4186, hold as published at SINCA"
                "umm...there's a cell over SINCA"
"Ok, make an early turn if you need to"
                "Riiiight"

What? Who? Now, I am heartbroken. Haha, you better hope that one of those runs to the bedroom doesn't spoil your plans 9 months later. Best advice - "don't be a fool - wrap your tool" young man. Haha, PBS afterschool special over!

That seems like such a cop-out though. I mean, at any other job - that excuse is not tolerated. If I call my boss and say "Hey, I ain'ttt working this shift - screw that - I is drunk," then I get fired. Why should a union member be exempt? What other excueses come up?

My aunt is a FL for DL and she says that reserve is kinda rough (for FA's at least).

That won't be a problem, he's got an astronaut helmet for it.

Can we keep the buttsex talk in the thread that was already hijacked? I'm all for joking around, but we get it....you're gay, congratulations. You don't need to bring it up in every single thread.

And we wonder why there aren't more experienced professionals that stick around for long periods of time here.

I ran this past another member of the forum, to make sure I wasn't coming a bit over the top and his response was:

" No, it needed to be said. Before he came out he actually posted informative, well thoughut out stuff. Now he's just a whore"

How many reroutes did you get on your way back into ATL? Your approach didn't look to be too direct.

Really not many reroutes, we were actually planned and filed to head down south of the airport. But the reason its not exactly a straight line was because we needed deviation left, then right, then left, then right of course to get around some storms.

It was fun watching you fly around. I was checking your "on-time" operation.
