What I don't understand is why the 2nd guy ran accross the tracks only to slip. He was already off the tracks when the train started to honk its horn, or whatever you train folk call it. All he had to do was step back one of two steps, rather then forward 5 and trip over.
Either way scary stuff, and both idiots... Platoons of goons.

Why the hell people play chicken with 1000 tons of train is beyond me.

Also, we can and will feel the rumble of the train coming down, if we really ARE that close to the train and the tracks and that you cannot ignore unless your just that stupid or trying to kill yourself.

I have a nephew working for SP who is now riding along on trains for technical and maintenance support. We talked about train VS vehicle & pedestrian collisions and especially thos that resultin death(s). He says that EVERY rail engineer experiences major collisions and pedestrian deaths (some suicides, some stupidity, like in this video) in their careers... and it IS very traumatic for the railroaders involved.

one should read "finally killed by sheer inborn dogshit" instead
after all, they showed their willingness to ignore, deliberately, any warning and cross the tracks at any cost. Everything speaks in favor of the train driver.Last edited by uy707; 2008-08-20, 18:32.
