The second kid just falls right over before even touching the track. Pretty dumb move, especially with a train just feet from you!

    100% agree

one should not read "thankfully still alive",
one should read "finally killed by sheer inborn dogshit" instead
after all, they showed their willingness to ignore, deliberately, any warning and cross the tracks at any cost. Everything speaks in favor of the train driver.

I have a nephew working for SP who is now riding along on trains for technical and maintenance support. We talked about train VS vehicle & pedestrian collisions and especially thos that resultin death(s). He says that EVERY rail engineer experiences major collisions and pedestrian deaths (some suicides, some stupidity, like in this video) in their careers... and it IS very traumatic for the railroaders involved.

I will admit, I would be shocked if the ratio of deaf people is higher. It is just natural instinct to look more then once when we (most deaf people) cross the trains tracks to ensure we didn't miss a train. I can hear the train quite well even being deaf because of how loud it is.

Also, we can and will feel the rumble of the train coming down, if we really ARE that close to the train and the tracks and that you cannot ignore unless your just that stupid or trying to kill yourself.

Why the hell people play chicken with 1000 tons of train is beyond me.

Disagreed, sure this is a dumb way to go, but its not there yet, if he was chatting on a cell phone trying to block out the sound of the train with his free hand and got hit then sure.

Idiot, why not just wait till the train passes instead of trying to cross the tracks. Darwinism at work I guess.
