Free bird and sweet home alabama aren't really what LYnryd Skynryd stood for. Listen to some of their lesser played stuff, like "That smell" and "Simple Man". They got a whole lotta lesser played stuff that is just sublime. Hey wait thats another great band. What ya got against greenday?

Hey, My band covers Lynyrd, Sublime and to my detriment Green Day,

With Green day, i dunno, with American Idiot (whole album) it just feels too 'poppy', some of their older stuff is alright, since that was all that was played on the radio for ages it doesnt make me feel compelled to listen to any of their other stuff.

That being said i do like The Needle and the Spoon by Lynyrd.

Oh well time to listen to the hold steady.
