  • Just another day in South Africa

    Yep - roll on 2010.

Seriously though, life is hectic with all the building and infrastructure improvements, our roads are not the place to be on in peak hour traffic - have fun......

At least it's scheduled to happen. Whether they'll actually have all stadiums ready in time is a whole different story...

The South Africans may just surprise us all and be ready, the chinese did it in time for the Olympics.

It will be great to see England win it..

I like your positivity in the use of the word "will".

Unfortunately, with our lot, the useable word is more likely to be "would".
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

Difference is that the Chinese had an endless resource of additional workers they could mobilise to finish everything in time .

Good news for SIA and Qantas I think, Japan and Australia is playing the world cup in South Africa, ETOPS rules force 4-holers between Perth and JoŽburg, so A380 will be flying that route, I think many Japanese will fly on the A380 as well to South Africa.
Also if NZ qualify (possibility if they beat the winning 3rd team in both groups, since they
won the Oceania group), could add some traffic for Qantas.
England seem to do well, so a few B747s will also visit. France can qualify which means
                      more A380ies.
South Korea can qualify on the 10th of june(most likely) so I expect them to fly also on the
                      A380?
UAE didnŽt qualify so they canŽt fill Emirates A380 to JoŽburg with people from there, perhaps if Russia qualify
they have a market there and if Turkey does qualify?
