I don't think they are there yet, look at Michael Vick and Plaxico Burress. Both Black NFL players that couldn't find the closest thing to hide under.

Even in Boston Local politics there are 2 Black City Councilor Chuck Turner caught in taking a $1000.00 bribe from a black business owner so he could get a liquor license. (The business owner turned him in) then State Senator Diane Wilkerson has loads of video tapes of her taking bribes worth more than $23K.

I think people think it's cool to vote for Black candidates, but I think we'll have to see what it's like here after the 4 yrs to see if "anything better than Bush" was really the right thoughts.

Hmm... I work in music; hardly the most politically correct of environments for the most part, and as such I'm one of the biggest haters of time wasting idiotic politically correct fools with no real purpose in life you'll ever meet, but even I can see how badly that comes across! I've actually just received a slightly stronger worded version of that as a text and I absolutely pissed myself! I'm just not quite sure of its suitability for a public forum, though. Things come across very differently when written in a forum like this!

I enjoy a good joke as much as the next person. And hell, I've laughed at some of the most horribly offensive jokes people have told me. But I really think they're best left for the bar or the hangar with your friends. I'm certainly not calling Brian a racist, since I know he's not, but perhaps "colored" doesn't bear the same negative history in the U.K. that it does in the states.
The whole PC argument has been going overboard on both sides for years now. Yeah, the "pc brigade" has been pretty obnoxious, but I don't see why that's an excuse to "show them" by saying stuff that is obviously going to offend someone.
