Vegas SNOW!!

Wow... in a truly once in a lifetime event (worst since '79, so they say), we're getting SNOW in Vegas. About 3-4 inches on the ground now with 6-12 predicted overnight. Las Vegas METAR showed 1/4sm with +SNFG! Should be good shootin' times out at McCarran in the morning, assuming anything's flying.. LOL!

that's so not right! I would hate to travel from the North East for a vacation and end up getting snow while I was out there. What's the normal temps for this time of the year?

Yeah, I couldn't belive it when passangers were comming up to me asking about their flights to Vegas and I had to tell them the airport was snowed in. We had to cancel our flights to Vegas, as did mainline United. Pilots I talked to that day said there was even snow in ONT and many other SoCal areas where snow is unheard of. One pilot said flying SNA-SFO was like flying over the Midwest in mid january, white as can be. Crazy!
