Congressman King was just on Bill O'Reilly as well as Reverend Al Sharpton. Interesting discussion, both points of view. It's on again at 8:00 PM Pacific Time.

I'm fine with honoring Michael Jackson's music and philanthropic efforts. The other stuff, I think he's getting judged by a higher source right now.

Also, as for the cost of the memorial, here's something on it from our local ABC Station if you are interested.

Why have a justice system when we are so quick to judge based on news reports. Screw the evidence i say.

More than Jacko, I was upset that Farrah Fawcett passed away.

    Another very amusing thread.

Have you guys ever heard of the castrati? Maybe Jacko didn't have the balls to do all he was accused of.

    Poor bloke. RIP.

This is a freaking joke...it really is. The city should have told the Jackson family and the promotion company who ran the service to "PAY UP!" The man molested children and we are glorifying him at the taxpayers expense...its sickening.

Yup. ....because all the money is in the hills, not LA city where "the little people who pay taxes" live.

Police, security, escorts and sanitation for the memorial ceremony are expected to cost cash-strapped Los Angeles city council nearly $4 million. The city council on Tuesday launched a web site asking for fans to make donations toward the cost of hosting Tuesday's events.

As I said I don't know whether Michael Jackson was guilty of molestation or not. However it is a fact and part of Court evidence that Michael Jackson was in possession of pornography of little boys genitalia.

Michael Jackson had some of the best defense lawyers available. It's largely a matter of opinion and application whether the material was pornography or "art".

I think it was three of the jurors on the Michael Jackson trial admitted that after the verdict was announced that they realized they made the wrong decision.

It's much like the Mapplethorpe controversy; I don't consider a man urinating into another man's mouth to be "art". Courts don't always do the right thing. Michael Jackson had popularity on his side would quite likely biased the jury in his favor. As you seem to be suggesting many of us are quite skeptical the jury's rulings on the O.J. Simpson trial.

I know I certainly wouldn't let my child spend the night with a freak like Michael Jackson that gives alcoholic beverages to children and then hops in bed with them and allegedly shows them porn.
I'm making a straw argument? You put the guy on trial, he gets found not guilty, but you'll be damned if your say that he's guilty isnt the right voice to be heard. Like i said, i dont really care, but i jut find it funny, people who only ever see biased news reports decide they know best when people who saw far more than any of us will ever hear about decide differently.

Honestly, we criticize the media every 30 seconds when they fuck up and put a picture of a 737 in a story about a A340 or such, and we do it because we know in that case that they are wrong. We know they just want a story and dont really care about getting it right, but we'll take what they say as a gospel if its something we dont actually know.

Have some faith in your legal system, or move to a dictatorship where they have a more trigger happy justice system like your showing here.

Rubbish, If a parent in willing to accept money from an alledged child abuser, then they are justifying the abuse! Accepting money to keep quiet in NOT in the interests of a child.

No responsible adult should ever let a child spend a night with any stranger, not matter how rich or famous he OR she may be.
