  • Correctly Calibrating Monitors

    Guys,

As my monitor is very sludgy in colour and I oftern read about the importance of a correctly calibrated monitor, can anyone suggest were to start with the task of calibrating my monitor correctly to esnure the most accurate and true colour replication?

Any links or information greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ryan

Not that I'm a wiz or anything, but it would help to know what operating system you are using, specifically; Vista, XP, or for that matter, an Apple? Monitor model/type would help as well. Most have deafult settings just in case it can't be resolved within your OS.

I am using XP with a standard 15.4 TFT monitor it came with my old tower and the box is at the back of the loft so I dont know what the exact brand is.

Taylor, I took a look at my Company Laptop which has XP but didn't see any default settings for the monitor in the OS. Trouble is, it's a laptop so I may be looking for something that is not there.

That said, I did check the actual monitor (I have a docking station for it) and there are settings that you can manipulate. There was a Default setting that you could revert to as well.

Generally, buttons on the front will provide you a menu to do this from.

Sorry that I can't be of more help -as it was a stab in the dark- but hopefully someone on this board who is more computer savvy than I can assist you.

        Best of luck,
