The Obama administration is blinded by their own greed, naïve idealism, vanity and arrogance. The Obama's administrations priorities are morally bankrupt and all screwed up.
Obama's top priority national security winning the war on terror (preventing our soldiers, citizens and allies from dying)? No. Obama's top priority preventing a regime whose intent is world domination and the destruction of America and Israel; from obtaining nuclear weapons? No. Obama's top priority the US and the world economy? No. Obama's top priority the environment and saving the world? No. Obama's top priority trying to meet our energy needs? No. Obama's top priority our health? No.
It seems that the Obama administration was more concerned with keeping the Chicago machine of corruption well oiled by lobbying to get the Olympics at Chicago. Obama's actions seems like payola to the corrupt politicians and businessmen that helped him get elected. It seems that Obama was trying to help certain investors and politicians profiteer at the expense of greater Chicago and America. It seems that Obama's priority is to line the pockets of the likes of Tony Rezko (mafioso land investor).
It smelled like Obama was trying to give kickbacks. Regardless; Obama tried harder to get the Olympics at Chicago, then he tried to fight terrorism, prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons, help the American economy, help meet our energy needs, help the health of the US citizens, or help the environment.

Thankfully Obama lost the bid to give Chicago the Olympics. It would've likely largely been a burden to the residents in the long run and the majority of the people that would've probably profited from it would have been corrupt; probably largely at taxpayer expense.
