High local beer and food prices scare off the invader, exception is Norway (which is preposterously expensive).
Nah, not expensive to us. We maintain our price levels to keep the undesirables out. If you can't afford to vacate in Norway, you are not a wanted visitor anyway so good riddance.
What we don't like about the German camper (RV) tourists is that they have way too much space in their campers to store goods like beer, sausages and, ummm beer. We are therefore ramping up our border controls in order to keep them out of Norway and inside Sweden. We do not like Swedes and we wish all harm upon their heads, like German campers, the plague, locusts and Volvos.

True, look at the trouble it caused the last time they did.

The invasion of Poland was merely a political expediency. You see, they wanted to be invaded.

The only reason the Brits went to war was to push Vera Lynn's new single. You don't want to believe all that Poland nonsense.

Hard to tell, they don´t give much info about the progress, they used plastic papertowers during the public display on the same material as the Trabant was made of.

Swedes are the Mexicans of Scandinavia (try to find a McDonalds or fishcleaning plant in Norway without a Swede in the staff) and Strömstad is the Tijuana of Scandinavia.
Germans like to smuggle fish from Norway, only 15 kilo (35 pound) of seafood you caught yourself is allowed to be exported as a tourist, one suspicious Norwegian border controller stopped a campervan with 600 kilo with cod filet. He was hailed as a national hero.

                      The Norskie or the German?
Every bar, pub, restaurant, cafe in Oslo is staffed with Swedes. In the winter they migrate up to the ski resorts. Well liked for their pleasant attitude and good and professional service.
