Yes, you are correct, and it's not an urban legend, but SQ's flights to Chennai, Bombay, Delhi, Kolkata, and Colombo I've heard from a lot of people that they are discriminatory towards Indian/Sri Lankan passengers!! There was one horrible trip report I read on A.net where this Indian guy was flying from EWR to FRA on SQ and during the flight, he was not handed a hot towel, a menu card, or a non-veg meal, since he was Indian, and most everybody else around him did! His Turkish and Pakistani friends also did not recieve any of these. They also got subpar service. It was shocking! I will try to link you, but I really think its terrible the way a world class airline is treating paying customers!
The only destination on the Subcontinent that I have heard SQ gives good service is Bangalore, as this is mainly IT proffessionals and executive traffic!
This is a good thing because my family is from Bangalore! But I'm still hesistant to fly SQ. I would much rather fly LH from FRA and enjoy the good service! NEver had a bad experience with them!

the Star and Spangled Banner is my favorite closely followed by Union Jack , also like Brazil, Kenya, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia,
Thailand, Costa Rica, European Union, and everything making a change from the three-vertical bar setting reminsicent of the french flag !
otherwise I like some of the US state flag such as Colorado and California.

Germany is very cool and Saudi Arabia's Green with Arabic Calligraphy in White is very unusual.
Sorry but majority of the flags posted above suck, especially India's, not only does it have the most awful colour combination then they had to add the wheel to wreck it further, definitely not cool.
