You know, Color instead of Colour, things like that. You make it simpler so you can spell it :P

I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

There are so many Americanisms used, I particularly dislike the hideous word "gotten"

The Australian soap "Neighbours" just wouldn't be the same if it was called "Neighbors"...

BTW, "I could care less" isn't a grammar mistake. It's an expression error.

Nonetheless I agree with the point you're making!

Jess, I totally agree with you.

I use the "correct" spelings and the "Americanised" spelling interchangeably, because, when in America, do as the Americans do!
"The Director also sets the record straight on what would happen if oxygen masks were to drop from the ceiling: The passengers freak out with abandon, instead of continuing to chat amiably, as though lunch were being served, like they do on those in-flight safety videos."

Indian airlines, you've summed it up perfectly! I've tried switching to the international standards countless times. Once, on an essay, I spelled color as colour about 9-10 times. The teacher took off two points per 'spelling mistake', which brought me down to an 80. I have also tried writing dates the proper way too...as in 7.11.2003 would November 7 2003 instead of July 11 2003. However, I found the teachers wondering why I wrote July 11th on all my papers, so I just stopped doing that. My math teacher really thought I couldn't put dates properly on my paper...

When y'all gonna quit worryin' bout us?

In the mean time, I'll sit on the porch in my wifebeater picking my teeth with a knife and takin' potshots at liberals and foreigners with my shot gun.

                      Any questions?

                        Well...there's still ONE MORE mistake!

"I am wearing ___ white underwear"

Maybe I'm wrong because my english is not my first language! LOL

I'm piecing together the English exam for my grade 12 students as we speak. After that, I get to make up the Grade 11 exam.

Then in two weeks we get a two week fall break. Unfortunaltely most of that time will go into correcting exams.

Making up exams is fun, correcting them sucks bigtime!
