  • 10 Years ago today...

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the "Black Hawk Down" incident in Somalia, in which 18-19 (there are conflicting numers) US soldiers lost their lives and hundreds of Somalis were killed. If you don't know what I am talking about, I suggest you rent the movie "Black Hawk Down."

Today on Fort Drum there was a somber memorial service, since 2 of the soldiers killed were from Fort Drum. RIP to all those lost

Never knew that today was the 10th anniversary of the war in Mogadishu, Somalia. It's a trajedy that quite a bit of U.S. soldiers died, but they all died as heroes. "Black Hawk Down" is a really good movie (It's long too ), the only problem with it is that it leaves you on a cliff-hangar and you don't know what happens to the helicopter pilot that's captured unless you do some researching .
