  • Cruise Ship Accident in Italy

Has anyone seen this picture yet?
You can see clearly a big rock inside the hull of this cruise ship, the Costa Concordia.

BLOODY HELL !!! That boat must have been stamping on a bit to tear off a chunk of rock that big ????

No wonder a few glasses were broken on the dinner tables.

More seriously though... RIP for those who lost their lives, with possibly more to be found.

The Captain has been arrested and charged with manslaughter among other other things.

Sad to report that "women and children first" was largely ignored by many men who took spaces in the lifeboats that were able to be launched. I hope they can live with themselves !

Hats off however to the female members of a British dance troupe who stayed aboard to the last to assist survivors. Well done girls.
If it 'ain't broken........ Don't try to mend it !

I read that the ship's "black boxes" have been retreived.

The steel on cruise ships is not as thick as an ocean liners!!
