You can actually tame them to an extent by feeding them. Just leave some nuts out at a set time everyday, and they'll start coming around at that time just for you. A few will eventually get rather tame, and will take the nuts right from your hand. I nearly had one trained last Spring, but my neighbor's grandson spooked the squirrel I was trying to tame and it never trusted me again.
