My dad is planning to buy a minivan/crossover (basically a 7 seater vehicle). Anybody recommend any specific one?

    Thanks,
    Tanuj.

    HONDA ODYSSEY!

These are the safest, most reliable, and efficient 7 seaters on the market today! No joke!

Is that a Laser Pico, or maybe Topper Topaz on the lake in the background?

      Oooo....http://poseur.4x4.org/

Go for a people carrier, not an SUV
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

We own 3 cars... all Japanese ... a Nissan, a Toyota and a Honda.

                  (I wish they were European instead of Japanese ... oh well...at least they aren't KIA's :P )

You can say Japanese cars. I don't think anyone will be offended. Hell, they were probably built here anyway. Your real popular driving around Redneck country in them I bet.

That may be so, but at least he can spell and knows which letters he needs to capitalize.

I don't even know why I'm entering this conversation but I'll be caught dead before you see me behind the wheel of a mini-van.

I don't know what models are sold in the US. In Europe, the most popular are the:

                            Renault Espace:

Ford Galaxy / VW Sharan / Seat Alhambra (all basically the same car):

                            Toyota Previa:

Don't know which is best, they are all basically vans with extra seats and windows...
