  • Beer or wine?

    For you that do....

    Beer?

    or...

    Wine?

I've pretty much quit drinking beer.... too many carbs...

I've always liked wine, just always "passed" on it to have a beer with the guys...

...looking for a few good wines, let me know what you like and why..

I'm not a big drinker at all.

But if i'd have to choose...I would say wine.

I don't think there is anything wrong with a glass now and then.

    Beer makes me sick.

Depends on the mood I'm in. I tend to favor beer over wine if I am drinking with a meal, pasta is pretty much the only food I'll drink wine with. Beer seems to go better with spicy foods, salty foods (like fries and pizza), and comfort foods (like hamburgers and steak), so I tend to pair my beers with those foods. Beer like wine has varieties that pair better with certain fods. If I am spending time with friends or family and a bottle of wine is opened, I'll probably end up drinking a glass or two. I might buy maybe half a dozen or so bottles of wine a year; compared with maybe two dozen or so 6 packs of beer or cider. This year, I've kinda slowed down drinking-wise; I think I've bought maybe 10 packs of beer the whole year, and 2 bottles of wine. I've just begun to mellow out in regards to drinking; I think I'm beginning to become a responsible adult (yeah right!).

I only ever drink wine if we've opened a bottle for a meal (preferably red), i've never drank it just for the delight of drinking wine. Blossom Hill is one of my favourites it is a nice sweet (ish) wine, but to be honest a lot just taste like someone has relieved themself in a bottle.

To answer your first question i'd take a cold beer over a glass of wine.

A good wine always hit the spot... beer just makes me puke. Call it a 'non-male' thing to do, but beer tastes like piss... wine just has a better taste to it. It's not an acquired taste like beer.

Though I very rarely drink any longer I find a beer goes well with chips while watching a ball game. If I'm at a bar I tend to stick with shots unless I'm trying to meet a lady, then I drink stingers to keep my breath nice and minty. With dinner I have grown to enjoy either a nice Leibfraumilch or a magmun of Krug non-vintage.

                              Looking forward to doing that.
