Since I've got my driving licence... The Netherlands.
I have allready wrecked 3 cars in 6 months.... All three times not my fault luckely.
Dominican Republic isn't that save either. Driving around with 3 men and a few live chiken's on a small motor bike isn't very save in my view

Speaking of dangerous driving...there was a 20 car pileup in Syracuse today, due to Lake-Effect snow...no word on injuries or possibly worse yet

Most of SubSaharian Africa
* even when they are operational stop/yield sign and red lights are to be regarded as OPTIONAL
* have to mind for people who drive at night but equally ignore the head and tail lights of there vehicles
* roads often in bad shapes and coming out narrow
* the priority is in fact taken by the biggest, don't try to show you are right if the opposition is a 35 ton trailer !
Regards
Alain

There is a highway. Nice and clean. Then there is a river. The rain is pouring, so visibility is low. The highway begins to get some potholes. By the time five minutes pass, the old jeep is going 70 kms on a REALLY bumby highway. The highway then becomes a narrow lane wide enough for one vehicle only. A truck is coming up from the opposite side. The driver of the jeep presses on, even though the lights of the truck are visible... the drive of the the truck is drunk, he doesn't see the jeep's bright lights. He presses on as well. The jeep is still doing 70. The rain is still pouring. No one is stopping. In the end, the jeep swerved off the road into a ditch to avoid getting hit headon by a drunken truck driver. And in that jeep was me.
To this day, I don't forgive either drivers for not stopping.
Oh yeah, my vote goes for India, where the above story occured.

Beware when driving there anyway.

Most dangrous driving- any part of the rural south after a snowfall. I would guess 9/10ths of the people there don't have snow tires, and another 9/10ths don't know how to drive in the snow. Scary!

Greece
Spain
Italy
All have incredibly bad drivers. Greece has the most fatalities in Europe.

Guest repliedI've only been to France in Europe.. But I still ask my french friends.. HOW CAN YOU DRIVE! I would be scared to death to drive in France. Narrow streets.. small itty bitty cars.. fast traffic.. combination for a hideous accident.
