A house, expensive yes, extavagent, no.
My goalie stuff set me back a wad as well, and was bought on the spur of the moment when I broke my arm and compressed my back and could not skate. But I use it about five days a week when home, plus it has paid for itself in reduced team and shinny fees, so maybe it is not so extravagent anymore

I guess my most extravagant purchase would have to be;
It was extravagant as I already had a car;
If there's anyone here who knows a bit about LandRovers, yes, they're both real Camels. (The Discovery was from the '95 event in Mundo Maya & the Freelander was from '98, Tierra Del Fuego)View my photos at JetPhotos.Net!

Oh man,
don't get me started....I've spent on alot of extravagent purchases in the last year.
when I was at my aviation technical school in Pensacola, FL, I bought my first laptop which cost $2000.
Being stationed in VA Beach and it was last Xmas is when I bought my Nikon D100 SLR which also costed me $2000 plus accessories which I got them for cheap for buying the D100 body at Ritz Camera.
Both of those payment were using cash.
Next comes the car, ow big one time payment here of $8,000. Paid using a cashier's check to the owner. They wanted $9 grand for it but I managed to get $1000 off.
I've sold several of my personal items when I was in high school for money like I sold my surfboard to a friend for $500 and im about to sell my professional silver trumpet on ebay for extra cash, hopefully to get within $1000 for it.
And now my recent purchase was buying a new laptop since my other got stolen. I paid $1200 for it at my local NEX, no taxes which was good, god a $200 rebate, good deal, paid $1000 from my checkings account and about $300 towards a credit card which im paying that off really quick before im deployed to Iraq. This was my first ever purchase using a credit card and paying with low interest a month thanks to my credit union.
Money is money and if you want it, get it. You only live once. you just gotta know how to use it the correct way.
