I took the picture above at the SC State House. It was a topic of national news a few years ago because of this:
The Confederate flag was flown above the State House and hung in the legislative chamber in protest of desegregation laws a few decades ago. In 2000, it was finally removed from the State House but still remains on the property.
The Ten Commandments dispute is in Alabama (or some state around there), not SC.
Back on the topic of Christmas, here is another shot. It's taken from the State House steps looking towards Main Street:
