Photoshop questions, need quick answers :)

For christmas I got Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and I was wondering if this is the same as the normal Photoshop software? or is it a totally different program. I want to find out before I open it so I can return it if it's not the right one.

Its very similar to photoshop with a few less features. It will handle everything that you throw at it though and you'll be able to edit all your photos from that new digital camera. Can't wait to see the pics.

Elements is adequate for what I'm doing with it. It really depends on what you want to do with it.
