Doh - fell in a hole
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete

I still dont get what the big deal about this is, in an earlier thread it seemed like people were talking like this Beagle 2 was the first thing to land on Mars, when the US has 2 or 3 rovers up there and have had them there for atleast 5 years now??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Oh, well what I meant was people claimed it was the first thing on Mars, that is what I thought, was Beagle 2 launched by the British or did it hop a ride on an american spacecraft?

I think it was launched by a Russian rocket.

              Chris,
Did you forget what our brilliant engineers did the last time? Just a small matter of conversion..... a small cloud of dust... and billions of our tax dollars wasted.

              Remember that one?

Nope didnt forget, but we are 2 for 3 on landing on the red planet, and unfortunantly for Britian it looks like they are 0 for 1

Great, now we're going to have a British vehicle leaking oil on Mars! Who did the electrics on Beagle 2, Lucas?
