This might be interesting to know...but what is longest in hours you have slept in one day? The most for me was sleeping for 20 hours straight and boy, was I tired. I got home from work and decided to take a nap from 4pm til 9pm then I woke up tired and said screw it, I'll decide to sleep til 6am and get ready for work. :P
I slept 24 once when I had bronchitis and was on codine. When I woke up I looked at the clock and thought I had been only sleeping like 10 minutes when my parents came in and told me that I had been asleep for a day. I went downstairs, got some food, took some more codine and then went back to sleep
The day before the sleep marathon, I had gone to CLT in the afternoon to spot after I got off work (3 hours drive in total). I didn't get home till around 9pm and I had to work the next day (Christmas Eve 2002) at 3am. Don't know why but I stayed up till I had to go to work
Loaded and unloaded packages, drove tugs and belt loaders for about 8 hours (was working at local UPS ramp at the time). I was very tired by the time I got off work to say the least!

I slept for about 16 hours when I had strep- I woke up at like noon and freaked out about school- turned out i was out for a week because I never got a strep test until Thursday (16 hour sleep was Sun. Night) and was on amoxicillin all day Friday, until I was not contageous.
