Yeah, Alexander sucked, but he got the most points from Arabia . Still surprised to see the Hobbit has won. I would have expected Kelly Clarkson or probably Will Young (though Gareth Gates is better than him).
Kelly does have a great voice but I can't stand the way she drags out her notes all the time. She turns every song into a R&B style and ruins it.If she would just sing a song the way it's meant to be,I would like her alot more.

I agree with kaddyuk as well. Give me Metallica and stop the flood of all those "TV-Casting-Show-Star Search- Pop Idol- Popstars- Fame Acadamy-etc"-crap.
1. The winner sung a well recognised song in the exact format the original artist did which would have ensured that it was well received. Very few of the others did that.
2. Some of the countries did not put up the right contestant. Kelly Clarkson for instance won American Idol 2 years ago and yet America had a very recent idol winner who they didn't put up. That means that there were some idol contestants with no industry experience and others with 2 years worth of it.
3. The performance of the judges (American, Australian and Canadian in particular) ensured a public voting backlash against their own competitors which played a large part in ensuring they didn't win.
As for the Aussie guy, well his song was crap so it really didn't help his cause. The Norwegan guy sang well as did a few of the other competitors.
I liked the Polish gal because she had the balls to say what she felt but in reality they're all winners aren't they?
